According to a calendar, I ovulated Sept. 2nd. My hubby and I had sex the next day. Is there a good chance I could be pregnant? When could I test?

Maybe. An egg will live approximately 12 to 24 hours after it is released, and if sperm were introduced in this time period, there is a good chance that the egg could be fertilized. The exact time of ovulation can be difficult to pinpoint precisely unless you are doing charting with BBT and checking changes in your cervical fluid, but I will assume that you have a reason to believe that it occurred then. A fertilized egg will usually implant in the uterus between 6-12 days, and it usually takes a few days to begin producing hcg (the chemical that pregancy tests pick up), so you could potentially test anywhere between 8-14 days. It may be best to wait until you get closer to when you expect your period, as I'm sure you'll save some money and a bit of sanity by not testing too early. Many women do not even get positive results untill around 12 days after ovulation, so that would be my suggestion. Good luck!

There is a chance you could be pregnant, but you cannot test unless done at the doctors office by blood until 3-4 days before a missed period with an early detection home pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant, it is best to have sex the day before or on the day of ovulation.

Yes, there is a chance all through out the month, just more likely when you are ovulating. There are women who get pregnant during their periods! I work in a Maternity Dept. There are home test that you can use as early as 5 days before your missed period. But I wouldnt trust those, test about 4 days after your missed period. Test in the morning, when you wake up, because that is when the hormone is mostly built up in your urine. More accurate results

There is a chance you could be pregnant,
without knowing your ovulation history noone can give any accurate statistics.

Some of the newer types of pregnancy test can give a result a week before pregnancy in some cases. However it cannot give a definite result till around the time your period is due.

Good luck.

You can get pregnant a week after you ovulate. The only ones who might have a problem with this is those who have always struggled with getting pregnant. When you should test is a bout two weeks after your first missed period.

You can test as soon as 2 weeks, but you are more likely to have false negatives up to the first month.

You are right, this is a very fertile time - but there are lots of times you might try and not get pregnant.

if the egg was still inside you then yes. when you ovulate your discharge is the consistency of egg white or clear snot and that is the egg. sorry it's gross. but if you saw anything like that than you most likely aren't preggers. you should be able to test around the 16th. EPT has a test that you can use 5 days before your missed period
