Yes, most fish can be incarcerated in an aquarium, but I wouldn't recommend mixing them with other fish you already have. Minnows don't live long for some reason, and neither do crayfish (crawdads).

Yes, but it is my understanding that coldwater fish need a lot more room per gallon than most tropical fish. If you're planning on keeping, say, 3 goldfish you'd probably want around a 40 gallon tank if you want to keep them in the best of health. They produce an incredible amount of waste.

I have 3 comet's, and 2 koa's and in the summer they go outside in the pond and for winter I bring them in and put them in there aquarium. I have been doing this for 6 years now and they adjust back and forth very well.

yes pond fish are gold fish. but they like cool water so dont put them with tropicals, well you can - but they like cool water better.

you can, but the tank gets very dirty very fast. you have to constantly clean and maintain it or it looks like crap
