I am 16 and therefore in my GCSE year. I row six times a week, do silver duke of edinburugh award, and am trying to raise £3000 for a trip to tanzania. On top of that i am sharing the main role of a school performance of a play called 'Greogary's Girl'. I am considering giving up my role as Greog in the play so i can focus on my other subjects. Do you think its alright for me do quit?

Oh you poor boy, I do sympathise. What to do now, is decide what YOU really enjoy doing as a LAUGH. You have far to much to worry about at your age, and should have a balance in life which you can cope with and again ENJOY. Have you confided in somebody and had a good moan. If your parents are pushy get another adult to explain your predicament. I would hate to have so much responsibility even at my old age. I know education is so important, but if you have no relaxation and time off to be you and with your mates, then you will crack up eventually and do nothing constructive. Once again, I am not being patronising, but you are too young to be so responsible for others. I admire you. But take care not to burn out. xxx Luv and best wishes to you Camilla

Best thing to do is get a calendar, fill in the time slots each day for all your activities. Visualizing it as a whole brings a different perspective to it. Then, you decide. You need some time off as well or you'll burn out.
When one is spread out too thin is hard to keep it going and will eventually burn the candle at both ends.

tough question, but ask yourself the pro's and cons of it.
does it give you any educational benefit at all? does it add any stress? do you enjoy it? could you spend that time doing more for yourself, meaning use the time to raise more money for your trip etc.
if you have more "quits" than "don't quits"...then give it up and let the other person headline play.

Yes, I think taht it is allriht for you to quit, because you have to many thing to do at your age. Maybe, later, you cand do almost all this things. But now, you are still a teenager, so don't work so much.
