I need to print from a DOS program, basically from SAGE, on a Network printer but i cannot. How can i arrange for several users to print on the network printer. When I cannot a printer to a particular user it works but users cannot print from dos on a network printer. Please help.

This is all assuming you are on a windows or dos network.

you need to share the printer on the workstation it is hook up to.
I'm going to use printerone as the shared name of the printer and workstationname as the work station network name.

On each workstation type
net use lpt2: \\workstationname\printerone /yes

Install Print drive for the printer and select lpt2 as the port it uses.

I don't use lpt1 because you need to disable the onbord port and if a printer is hooked to the workstation.

Back when I was in DOS, living hell, because I can hardly type, I just did print screen. I don't know how you would network it. I could not stand the fact that if you got a typo, it wouldn't execute.
