personality. you've heard the phrase, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've known several guys that I thought were pretty plain looking at first, but the more I got to know them and i loved their personalities, the more physically attractive I percieved them to be. And vice versa. i've known some super hot guys, but becuase of hteir stupid and egotistical personalities were not attractive anymore.
So, while looks are a part of it, personality is more important

looks only go so far, think of this way, if someone was gorgeous but had a bad personality and then they got in a horrible car accident and was unattractive from that point, then they'd have nothing left. But there is nothing like that..weight gain, accidents, sickness, etc. can break down a personality. Good luck on the dating scene!

I think looks are important. You're going to have to look at them a lot! Ultimately, though, the looks go away, and the personality remains. So I think personality is more important.

Both are important. Looks usually come first because you need to be attracted to them so that you want to find out more about their personality.

When u look 4 a mate u should base it on their personality and values. If they look good as well that's just a plus side.

Are you kidding me. A great personality can make any guy a hottie. You should see what they can offer and not focus on their appearance. You can give them helpful fashion tips but don't ever let them think you aren't digging their looks.

Think of it this way: Looks won't last forever, but personality is (usually) for life. Be very selective; this is the person who you are (hopefully) planning to spend THE REST OF YOUR LIFE with.
