Sounds like bowling, eight straight strikes, a spare in the 9th frame with a strike for the first ball of the 10th fram for a score of 260 in 9 frames, then 9 of 10 pins for 279.

The sport you are playing must be CRICKET. A game invented by english. It is played between two teams and each side having 11 players.
You would have scored it by hitting the ball bowled by a player of the opponent team. You can score 1,2,3,4,5 or 6 runs per hit depending on the situation.

Cricket, dont know dont care how..Bowling, strikes and spares..darts, hitting the dartboard..scrabble, you make words line up with the scoring grid thing..Yahtzee, you got at least the Yahtzee for 50 points, I'll think of more later

If you were really really good it could be cricket, but you'd have to be pretty special to score that many runs, thats usually a whole team's score!!!
