Maybe sometimes the type of formula a baby is fed can make the baby fussy. Try a different formula. If a baby is premature, they are more likely to be mor fussy and longer than a full term baby. Or maybe that baby is colicky. You may never know.

My son didn't smile until he was two and a half months--I felt like a horrible parent. It wasn't that he wasn't happy--he just couldn't do it. Now that he can do it--he smiles and laughs all the time. He doesn't make a fuss about anything either. Maybe the other just literally cannot smile. Maybe your parenting techniques are different who knows? At least you have the smiley baby not the fussy one!

Babies have personalities too. My sister was always quiet, and grew up to be quiet as well, my brother was always fussy and throwing tantrums up to age 5 and he's always getting into trouble now. Some life events can change your personality slightly, but some people just have a tendency to be one way, even from birth.

Personalities are different for every child, so that means a lot. I'm happy that your baby is the happy one. My first daughter was very quiet and observant her first few months and my friend's baby screamed all the time. Sometimes we get lucky.

If he's colicky placed a touch camphor on your finger and make a go between his shoulder blades on his again. i recognize this sounds weird and wonderful in spite of the undeniable fact that it fairly works. My grandmother and my mom both used this technique on everybody (theres 13 human beings). And if that would not help try a touch catnip tea. Its really easy to make. Take actual catnip (you'll come across it contained in the puppy part of any save.) a million tsp. in a cup of warm water. enable it steep in basic terms like you would possibly want to customary tea. even as its cool adequate placed about a million/4 of a cup in a bottle. this is going to take little or no so do not overdo it. placed something contained in the refrigerator for later. this can help the toddler relax and be at liberty and it received't harm the youngster in any respect. If neither of those techniques provide you with the outcomes you want than perhaps its in basic terms not the toddler's nature to be at liberty and bubbly. after all he's in basic terms 2 months previous. maximum childrens are not "bubbly" for a minimum of four-5 months.

Your relative's baby could be sick. It also depends on how the baby is being raised. You are very lucky to have a healthy and happy baby.

My baby is also very happy, very laid back, not so sure why. She is so laid back she is just not in a hurry to go places, not crawling, just starting to self feed. But she is the happiest baby around, although my husband thinks she whines too much, but I think my husband whines more than she does!!
From day 1 she was put in her crib in her room, she never slept with us, so she doesn't expect it. When she cries, we don't go rushing to her (unless it is an "urgent" cry of course!!) BTW, she was 4 weeks early.
My friend never put her baby down, she now has a VERY demanding baby.
Raising? Genes? Luck? Who knows??

All babies are different, depends on age and how fast they develop. Some babies have bad reflux problems which would make anyone irritable.

Sometimes I think it is just personality. Other times I wonder if its the amount of attention given to each child.
Just be glad your baby is happy!
