Hi I am about 10 weeks along with my second baby. In this time my boobs have got 2 sizes bigger and now I have a small rounded belly that will not go away when I try to hold my belly flat.
I know this sounds a silly questions but I just do not remeber showing so early with my daughter who is now 5. Is this normal?
Also 2 days ago I felt what I think to be the first flutters (no it was not me passing gas) Could I have felt a first flutter so soon or was it just my womb getting bigger?

Your uterus has been stretched to its max before so it's not surprising that your already got your baby bump. It's basically just more elastic since its BTDT. As far as feeling fetal movements this soon it is totally possible because you already know what it feels like and can easily distinguish for yourself that it is not gas pains. So you can answer that question for yourself. I am 15wks pregnant now with twins...(this is my second pregnancy) I started feeling them move at at 11wks. The physician I work for did an u/s and I litterally showed them i could feel the babies moving. Either way congratulations!

I started showing with my first child at about 10 weeks so much so that my midwife made me have an ultrasound.

I'm not sure on the fluttering altho I'd say its possible. You normally start feeling fluttering with your first one about 14 weeks but as you know what to expect this time you will feel it a lot earlier so its highly possible.

As for the boobs i think the same applies for the tummy, you've had one baby already your skin will be a little more stretchy than with your first one. Plus every pregnancy is different. Could also be that you're carrying a different sex to last time ;)

good luck tho!

Yes - naf isn't it. I was in maternity clothes at 10 weeks the third time round. Only had one - so sorry you will have to endure all the 'you sure you are not having twins' questions. I was normal sized by the time I got to 20 weeks then got big as a house but then my son was 9lb4oz and 57cm long and as with my first two pregnancies I carried enough fluid for two babies. Just bloom and enjoy yourself. Good luck x

Apparently you do show quicker for a second pregnancy as your ligaments are more supple it doesnt matter how many years ago the first pregnancy was. If it is water retention you should be seeing this in your legs or feet as well and that does need to be checked out. Second time round you feel movement sooner aswell so I dont think what you've said is unrealistic at all.

I know a lot of women that show earlier with every pregnancy they have. I wouldn't worry about showing so early.

As for the flutters...I believe it! You know what they feel like so you know what to look for. I've known several women that feel flutters around 12 weeks because they've had previous pregnancies.

Good luck and congrats!

We usually 'show' quicker with a second pregnancy because the muscles aren't as tight as they were with the first. The 'flutters' that we feel usually mark the mid-point of pregnancy (c.4½ months). I wonder if you've had your first scan yet, because it sounds as though you could be further along than you thought?!

Yes to both of your questions. I had to ditch my complete wardrobe before I was 3 months with my first child. As for the flutters, I'm sure it will be your baby. I felt all four of my babies very early on.

I was showing withing about that time with my first pregnancy and everyone was joking that it could be twins- luckily it wasn't but my son was massive (9lb 9oz) when he was born which is obviously whu=y i showed my bump so soon. Plus i started feeling him moving at 12-14 weeks (they say you cant normally feel until about 20weeks+) but i think its just because he was so big from the onset & developed very big very quickly.

If you are worried go and see the doctor who will reassure you.

It is quite normal when expecting a second child that the tummy expands a lot quicker than the first time as the tummy muscles are not quite as tight when you were pregnant for the first time.

Good Luck

I am pregnant with my first child and i started getting a little bump before i even knew i was pregnant just before i was 12 wks, but i would probably advise you 2 go to the doctors and see what they say because you might be carrying more than just the one.
