The transmutation or cross breeding of any breed of animal will result in an altered behavioral state. The genetic path and code of the animal is inherited from it's parental units. Please note that the genetic theory explains the traits of animals being en grained on the individuals DNA but that the actual development of the personality is often a reflection of the owners influence if it is in the case of a domesticated animal.
