you had to move along the end of a shape (u shaped mainly)that disappeared into the centre of the screen ,whilst objects came at you ,using lines that were attached to the u shape ,i know its a crap descri[ption ,but unless i draw it i cant describe it any other way

If I'm right, the game is called Tempest and it was made by Atari. If you have a Play Station or an X-Box you can get the Atari 25th anniversary game pack and Tempest is one of the games on it (along with Asteroids, Missile Command, Battle Zone, Centipede, Millipede, etc.)

I agree with Pete T - Sounds like Tempest by Atari , I actually liked that game, have no time or interest in games now, see enough of my son's games. I can't figure out and push all the buttons at the right time & place now, was lucky enough at the use of the basic joystick and A & B button or paddle

I know that it was made by Atari and I know that you had to use a trackball, but I haven't played the game enough to remember the name.
