I am a guy who is going to be playing a female role in a play (or at least part of my role is playing a female and part is a guy). I need to learn how to walk in boots with heels (I think about 3 inches) and move around reasonably nimbly. Any tips for walking in heels would be appreciated.

practice makes perfect right? wear the shoes inside the house and practice walking in them as much as possible. u'll get good at it with time. good luck with the play.

Start with a pair that's about 2 - 2 1/2" and walk around in them in any and all of your free time to get used to them. If you start at 3"+ your feet will be sore enough after the first day that it'll be hard to get back in and practice. About a week before you need the higher heels, start practicing in them...maybe even a little higher...that way when it comes to the 3", they'll be like sneakers in comparison.
Just walking on your toes won't do it...it's not the same as having something actually under your heel.

The best way to learn how to walk in heels is to wear them when you are around the house just walk in them. You may want to paste your drive and walk fast. Walk like you normally walk. Don't try to walk all fancy.

Get shoes wide enough for your feet, that will help. Shoes with wedge heels are easier. Walk: heel, toe, heel, toe, etc! Also, swing your arms for balance!

Honey, you're just going to have to practice.. Dont distribute your weight evenly like in a flat shoe. Kind of put more pressure on the front of your foot so you balance better. :)

practice walking on your tip toes...
