If the racial issue isn't used to cover up the facts, then it is simple to see that rebelling against the establishment has been around a lot longer than hip-hop. Can you name one teenager that joyfully followed their parents rules? The obvious result of breaking the rules is suffering the consequences. If you go beyond enjoying the music, and cop the 'tude, then you will suffer the punishment no matter how much 'bling-bling'. (and then you grow up)

When you take the hip-hop attitude you're asking for trouble, and when you ask for trouble you usually get it. And it isn't acting black. It's acting tough, and nobody on the planet is that tough.

They take it too far. Listen to some hip hop lyrics sometime and you can see how trying to emulate the hip hop personna can get you into lots of trouble.
