You can't get rid of your in-laws. You have to learn to deal with them. If they are being unreasonable, talk to your husband directly about what you want him to tell them. If he can't handle it, you may have to take the initiative to talk to them. BUT do NOT be rude or nasty to them or you will make no headway.

Be careful. A falling out with your in-laws will inevitably lead to strain in you rrelationship with your husband.

Do you love him? Does he love you?

Then its time to move, move somewhere away where you both can concentrate on making each other happy. If he isn't up to it, maybe its time for a separation and you can find someone who wants to be your one and only.

Why did you marry in the first place? Was it a rushed marriage? If you didn't take the time to know that the in-laws are nosy meddling annoying worthless busy bodies. Would you of still married him?

You still have a choice, either he gets with the program or you can start fresh. Its called irreconcilable differences.

Well good luck

Cheers !!!

** well you could either move across the state line, or move somewhere that you both originally dreamt about living at. Time to make the dream a reality.

Or,.... you could simply go to the In-Laws house, crazy glue all the doors and windows shut, then board up all the doors and windows shut (with the in-laws inside), then hose the place with gasoline and torch the place.
It was just a thought,....

Funny thing... Mine live right next door (well across a field).. and I totally love it....

Have you tried embracing the idea? You didn't really explain any of the reasons why they "make your relationship hell" maybe by giving examples ppl would be better able to offer suggestions.

I know some in laws refuse to understand their kids have a life of their own, which makes it difficult for the husband or wife depending on the situation.... as with most conflicts, talking often sorts it out.... maybe you could sit down one on one and think of ways to make the relation with your hubby's parents better as a whole.

I wish you the very best of luck, and hope it works out for the better, these are your hubby parents after all, and always will be.... =)

Tell them you are a voudou preistess. Hang a few chickens feet and hearts around the house and leave piles of salt and dirt in conspicuous places when they come to visit. Chant some made up songs and then offer them some chicken cacciatore. That should get rid of them.

You can't! Been there done that! Considered moving away. You have to make friends with them, you need to go round and see them on your own and build some sort of relationship with them. Is he an only child or son? I bet he is.
Honestly you have to bite the bullet and try to make peace. It is up to you, they won't do it and neither will your hubby.

You need to sit down with your husband and tell him what you are feeling and whats going on.Bottling things up is not good and at the end of the day theire are only two people in your marriage/relationship and your in-laws should respect that and back off.Maybe explain to your in-laws that your happy with ther advice and help but that you and your husband can sort things out together............Good luck.

Do they live with you? Or do they come over a lot? Are you wanting to get rid of them all together? Or just see them sometimes(holidays, birthdays, etc.) More info please.

Even without knowing any of the details...I say talk to your husband about it. Tell him how you are feeling and maybe you guys can come up with a solution.

you can't get rid of your husband's parents. But you can be an adult and talk to them about how they are affecting your relationship.

better yet, have your HUSBAND be an adult and have HIM initiate the conversation. He is the only one who can mediate an issue between his parents and both of you... if he doens't have the nerve to do it, then you might be stuck with this situation for a LONG time. As they are his parents, it needs to come from him.

be honest and open with them....there is nothing worse than lying to your inlaws because they upset or annoy the hell out of you.....come clean with them you may be suprised...the relationship between you and your inlaws may ease up a little giving you and your partner and easier life.

I'm a woman that deals with the same thing & you can't do anything about it but let your spouse know how you feel. he is the one that needs to make the choice of you or them in matters of your relationship. 14 years & finally i got a man that shows where his bread is buttered..." If you know what I mean!"
