Satisfaction is so important to marketers because a satisfied customer is a happy customer. And happy customers:
- Return, patronize or buy again from the business. This means lower acquisition costs for the marketer because the marketer doesn't have to spend a dime to attract this happy customer back.
- Recommend the business to other people. And word of mouth is a great free marketing tool that marketers love. Imagine getting 100 new customers without spending anything because one customer was so satisfied with the product or service that they emailed all their friends about it.

Good question. I'm a marketer and you're right, satisfaction definitely is important. This is because all marketers have goals and objectives to hit in as much as a short period of time. Like all businessmen, marketers would want to save as much money as they could to profit. And time tells the efficiency of every marketing effort. Thus, satisfaction for marketers would also likely be "perfection" of their tasks. A satisfactory marketing effort would save a lot of costs and could also avoid business failures.
