OK nothing is free, you may have won it but there is something else to that maybe a contract or something, IF you have this phone in your hand, I would call your carrier Verizon and see if you can use it with the service you currently have.

If you like the phone then save it for awhile, then use it with your Verizon Wirless contract, if you don't like it or it's not compatible, then you mainly have four options:
1) Give it to a charity, mainly the battered women's charity, they use them.
2) Give it to a friend or family member that either needs a cell phone, or has t-mobile.
3) Sell it on eBay.com. But selling one single phone to me wouldn't be worth having to register and all of the junk that comes along with eBay. If the phone is worth a sufficient amount of money, or if you have done business on eBay in the past then that might be your best option.
4) Recycle it. There are plenty of organizations and individuals that take in and recycle cell phones for many purposes.

Hope this Helped!

You could donate it to a women's shelter or a seniors' center in an area that has t-mobile. As long as a cell phone is charged it can be used to make 911 calls without a service contract in place.

Donate it to Woody and the Wake Up Call on WCOL for Takin' Out the Trash Tuesday. They will drop it from hundreds of feet in the air for all listeners to hear.... I don't know, sounded fun to me.

Chunk it or give it away to the Salvation Army. Shelters are always in need of those things.

Take it to Verizon and they can program it with your verizon information.

Sometimes different charities take them, like the battered women's shelter or something
