Yeah - a bit tough to answer.

I'm assuming you are talking about the Sansa e200?

If so, then it converts the files for you with it's converter. However, since it is using Windows Media Player, I can give you a rough estimate.

I have an Audiovox SMT 5000 Smartphone running WM2003 and Media Player 10. I convert my files to optimize for screen size (about the same as the Sansa screen) and adjust the bit rate accordingly. I assume that the software that the Sansa uses to convert files does pretty much the same thing.

That being said, I can get about 45 minutes of WMV video down to about 65mb. So it's about 1.4mb per minute or about 12 hours of video at those settings for a 6GB memcard.
