I already have one daughter. I was in labor with her for 4 1/2 hrs. They stopped my labor twice before that. So I had mild contractions for over 10 days before my water broke and I had her. I have hear that the second child is usually quicker so I was just wondering if that was actually true with any of you.

you can not ask this kind of a question, because each pregnancy is different and each delivery is different. There are women out there who have been in labor for up to 4 hours or even up to five days. If you are scared about the time you will be in lab our, you need to wait and see. As hard as this might seems, but you are pretty much on your own with this.Just make sure that your husband/ boyfriend or your mother is with you. There are a few tricks you can do to ease the pain, or you can ask for medication.I would not worry about this for now.Wait and see and go from there.

First child labor was 6 hours. 2nd child, 35 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I work up at 6:25 am, it was snowing and my water broke. Called MD and he said he would see us at the hospital. We got there at 6:55 and my son was born at 7:00. Husband missed the birth, he was parking the car. Doctor got there 2 hours later. I think the janitor caught my son when he flew out!!!

My wife was in labor for about 12 hours during the birth of our child. If your hospital offers it, you might see if they have a portable tub that they can bring into the room for your labor -- my wife says it helped tremendously to help her relax during the ordeal.
