Why do some of us hold back feelings, Im not talking about being shy, like some of you might say ;) Why do we sit and wonder and try to work things out before we do them, when you can hear your hart say.. GO FOR IT!!?

Why look at someone and can feel that that person is what you want but you never get around (or lets say the will) to go and speak to them.

Why feel that some stuff is perfect for you (like jobs) but your rather stay in your "safe place" WHY????? Why not take the jump. I mean what is the worse that can happen???

It can be so difficult to take action from our heart when we're still obedient to our conditioning; to what the 'world' and our communities and families say we SHOULD be doing. The exciting thing is, by going against our conditioning and all the 'shoulds' that are applied to us from outside of our heart, we literally break the chains that bind us. Acting from our heart is what it means to be Authentic. The more authentic action we take, the less grip our conditioning has on us and the less fear we have to *continue* being intentionally True to our own heart. It gets easier with practice....and finally it becomes MUCH easier to jump to the call of our heart than to hang back in fear.... which eventually causes us to stop growing so that we atrophy and die inside.

Blessings

In a word it is FEAR, and fear is a powerful thing it will do it's upmost to hold us back and keep us down, and yes I will give fear a personality which might sound strange to some people.
FEAR is dressed up as something rational and sometimes it is sensible to fear, if you're on a roof then you need a certain fear/respect so that you don't carelessly fall off, but other times it is not rational - can that tiny spider really harm you?

Age sometimes helps. Life has given you a few knocks and you realize that you lived through that experience. Sometimes age dulls the senses and you really don't care if you get a bump. Live and let live. I agree "what is the worse that can happen"

I agree with you, people should go after what they want but they're afraid of rejection or that they'll come off as desperate or weird.

I think people pretend to be someone they're not because if someone doesn't like who they're pretending to be, so what? That's not who they really are. It really hurts when people don't like you for you.

I go after what I want though because I like being myself and if that person doesn't appreciate it, I'll find someone else who does. When you hold yourself back, you're just hurting yourself.

If I indeed followed my "hart" as you have written I would probably find myself in the forest surrounded by other deer.

Sometimes, however, it isn't good to follow your heart. Our emotions tend to stir us in the wrong directions. We should weigh everything and seek wise counsel before making many of our decisions.

completely agree with you. If we won't jump we will never find out what could have happened. Life is such a complicated but at the same time easy thing...so if you have the ocassion to do smth.(a small jump for you, a giant jump for your future)>>do it. LUCK

Most of us aren't risk takers. We don't want to risk loseing something good for something great, because the great thing isn't 100% sure to be given to you. We don't want to risk getting hurt either. We rather live in our fantasy world. If they say no, it is kind of hard to fanasize them as being ur lover.

Fear is instinctive in all humans because it has kept us alive for countless generations. It is a crucial part of why we as a species have survived.

The caveman who had no fear was killed by mammoths and therefore also had no children. Fear is therefore a safety device.
