my daughter has been staying out late at night with her boyfriend, sometimes not coming home until early morning...

the other day i heard her crying on the phone with him explaining how she's "late"... she kept saying they "aren't ready for this" and talked about going to the doctor...

i set her curfew for 11pm since she's only 19, but i really dont want to upset her about being late... she's sensitive about these things because her mother died when the ambulance was late.

so as a single father, where is the best place to meet girls like this?

What *do* you win by asking stupid fake questions? My admiration, for one.

Your daughter is talking about being late that would be not have her monthly menstrual cycle meaning she thinks she could be pregnant and you as a father with your daughter still living at home should be enforcing her curfew! And even though you may be a single parent you should have took responsibility and explained to your daughter the consequences of sex whether it be protected or unprotected now you might just be becoming a grandfather..I would definitely feel like i feel like i failed as a parent if i was in your predicament...Specially when your 14 and it's not possible for you to have a nineteen year old your a sick little boy that needs help that we are not able to give you , you should be seeking a professional..

Only 19 that's not young my dad is a single parent who raised me on his own I know it's hard but you have to face the facts that she is growing up and no matter how early you put her curfew she is going to do what she wants. I'm 19 and 8 months pregnant ( which your probably thinking now great PLEASE don't compare you to my daughter!!) but even if this happens be supportive my daddy is there for me no matter what sometimes he doesn't like my decisions but he can't make them for me and he can't fix them for me either. I do on-line schooling and i work full-time so (lol) I guess he didn't raise a complete idiot!! ;) It's always the hardest to tell a dad when your down in the blues about a boy let alone something more serious so please be gentle!!!

ok lets make a reality check here, she is 19!!!! she has been adult for 1 full year already, she shouldn't have a cerfew she should have her own place and a job to support her!! at her age I was married and had 2 kids. an 11pm cerfew for a 19 year old is crazy (but hey your house your rules) As for worrying if she is pregnant or not WOW that is not a crazy age for girls to be having babies. If he is still going to live with you at her age then you don't set cerfew you set rules every night has a different need. and if she is going to be late then she can call, but to put that big if a thumb hold on a young lady that age is kind of drastic.

If it turns out negative put her on birth control and make them use condoms. God even though I'm a teen (15) I sometimes think stupid kids. God if we cant handle the consequences dont have sex

Interesting...how about she might be pregnant...you reallly need to learn girl talk especially if your a single father you should already know what "late" means.

i know as a father you might not want to hear this from a teenage girl, but have you thought that she might be saying her period is late? she might very well be pregnant or worried about being pregnant because she is late...just like she said...she obviously doesnt want it that way but seriously take that idea into consideration.

She's not talking about her curfew. She's talking about something her boyfriend wants to do with her. Talk to her. Say that you heard these conversations and has she had sex? Be upfront about it.
