I love Ikea. Everything is inexpensive and decent quality. I get a ton of compliments on the things I have from Ikea.

I did like Ikea but have recently discovered that all the stores are different. So the Cardiff Bay, Warrington and Leicester stores are very good and usually have most items in stock. However avoid the new Milton keynes store at all costs! I recently went and spent 7 hours trying to buy a few pieces of furniture with lots of fun events like:
- Discovering that the aisle and shelf numbers in the store don't always match with the warehouse
- Staff who do absolutely nothing while you wander around the empty shelves
- Ordering items from the warehouse whilst in the store does not guarantee that when you get to the checkout they will still have it in stock
- And my personal favourite....arranging a delivery from the warehouse and being charged a rate based on distance from the store (in Milton keynes) to my house (In Peterborough) the item was then delivered from a Peterborough warehouse which is exactly 5 minutes from my house
So I think I have probably had enough of shopping at Ikea although their products are very good value.

I think that the have wonderful looking, quality furniture at a great price. Along with everything else they sell. I have never bought anything from IKEA and not been happy with it. They just built one near my house, it's always packed though.
I think it's funny when Jay Leno jokes about how hard it is to put together furniture from IKEA.

I think they are a company like Ashley Furniture, put out OK quality furniture as fast as they can and treat and pay their employees like sh*t! Buy your furniture at Mom and Pop discount stores, pay a little more for quality, and its nice knowing your stuff is unique and not in half of every household. Also these 2 companies have a bad habit of moving their work overseas and hiring illegals in the states. Im less than a mile from the largest Ashley Furniture company site there is in the world, and can tell you about 20% of all their employees are illegal. If you have any Amish communities nearby, see what they have or have them build what you want, half of the furniture I own comes from them.

I like Ikea, it offers good value for money and some very unusual pieces.
The cot I bought from there 5 years ago has been used by my 2 children and is about to be used for number3.
The only thing that bewilders me is the 'ikea experience' rather than the shop, people plan it like a day out.

I Like Ikea, and they have great furniture designs. Quality, however, is a wild card. Some things will last a while. Others will break in a month.

Always sells things I want, sometimes you can't get them anywhere else. I have always found it good quality, contemporary and great value for money.
Best of all Ikea shopping is FUN, for the whole family, between the free creche, the little houses as you go around, free pencils for all and the wonderful cafe or takeaway you just can't beat the whole shopping experience.

Some of the more expensive stuff is good as is some of the cheaper things, but they do have some stuff there that I wouldn't trust holding a piece of gum up, but you get that everywhere.
I think you'll find most homes these days have at least one item from IKEA in their house (I have a cheesegrater) :-)

Ikea has and sells cheap items. Most of them you have to put together yourself. Over Priced for the quality you get. Remember the old saying "You get what you pay for".

Ikea is cheap and cheerful! The furniture looks good and is quite hardwearing!
