The Canaries are the natural choice, they're further south than the Azores so should be warmer.

If not Canaries, you're probably looking at the Med: south coasts of France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey.

Taking into account your criteria, I'd endorse the Canary Islands as an excellent holiday destination.

Egypt is lovely in November. I've stayed at some great hotels near Sharm el Sheikh. The water is warm and the fish are amazing colours. Just make sure it's not Ramadan when or if you go. If you fancy it get in touch. I can point you in the right direction for good hotels. Doesn't cost a bomb either.

When I was in the US Navy, the ships I was on always stopped at the island of Palma. From what I learned, it was pretty family oriented but can be a bit expensive. What I remember from it was that it was one of the most beautiful places I ever visited. The beaches are vast and level and gorgeous. The layout of the island allowed for easy access throughout the island, and there were always a lot of visitors from all of the northern European countries.
