Do you too have those fellow co-workers whom piss you off to the point where you want to choke the life out of them? How do I deal with this infuriating rage at work all day long? I'm surrounded by Toxic people who obviously have no common sense or manners. Everyday is a struggle not to loose my temper or my sanity. I feel like hunting these people down in the parking lot and having an old school "afterschool fight" at 5pm. I'm going to snap loose one of these days..... What am I going to do about my idiotic coworkers?

I think most people have co-workers who drive them insane. I know I do! I usually deal with them by not listening to them when they go on and on and just starting at them while thinking of other things. I also like to think about what I'll be doing after work when they're not around. Also, fantasizing about the "afterschool fight" is a help :) A lot of people lack common sense, but it's hard to get deal with for sure.

I wanted to when I worked in public accounting during tax season. The workload coupled with the backstabbing of co-workers jockeying for the same position will take you to that edge quickly!

My solution should be the same as yours: find another job! You need A job, not THAT job! They're not worth it!

There is no perfect co-worker or job on this earth! You are always going to have to cope with it no matter where you work! that's why "retirement", looks so good the more you approach it. Then, again, that has it's own set of unique problems, like do I have enough to live on now that I am retired?

no, because even though i hate my work and some of my co-workers i realize the source that hatred is the nature of the work itself and what it does to people here.

However, the partners that assign us all that work, that is a different story. But I'm 3 years into partner track so I'll hold off.

May I suggest passive aggression? Right now my husband is infecting an entire office with an unfortunate virus he and I contracted over labor day weekend. That's how he deals with it.

I keep work at work. When dealing with toxic people I think of them as mentally constipated and that they would be much better with a mental laxative.
