i thought it was peanut butter, or almond butter, or something, but lately the sentances i've been hearing it used in (at public places, walking by people talking on the sidewalk, and in a store at the mall) i dont think they could be talking about peanut butter. can anyone make me less confused? thanks.

The only other connotation I've heard it used as is kind of crass- so just remember-- you asked. I'll put this as delicately as I possibly can. If you DID want children, it would take nut butter from your husband to be able to do that.
Does this fit the context in which you've heard the term recently?

Have a great day!!!

Nut butter refers to the mashing of nuts to create a spread. The most common is peanut butter. Other nut butters from common nuts include:

Walnut butter
Almond butter
Hazelnut butter
Macadamia nut butter
Pecan butter
Cashew butter
Similar spreads can also be made from other seeds that are not considered to be nuts. Examples include:

Soybean butter
Sunflower seed butter
Pumpkin seed butter
Sesame seed butter (also called tahini)
Nut and seed butters are rich in protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids and can be used to replace butter or margarine on bread or toast. [1] The following table gives some of the nutritional properties of a selection of nut and seed butters: [2]

There are a number of nut butters. These are basically like peanut butter which is ground up peanuts, just made from different nuts and seeds. You can have everything from almond, cashew and hazelnut butter to tahini which is sesame seed butter.
