They're safe, just please use a formula made for facial hair (more gentle) and *please* follow instructions to the T; and don't leave them on for more time than stated, if you do you'll skin will get burnt and very irritated.
Also, don't apply if skin is already irritated or red (e.g. upper lip when you've had a old and your skin is tender), cause it'll exacerbate irritation and you'll also burn your skin.
Hair doesn't grow back thicker or anything, so don't worry about that.
