my girlfriend and i have been together for just over a month, we met at my 36th birthday party. Things seem to be going really well... however, we aren't ready to have children. Unfortunately, she got pregnant last night, and i've heard of this "morning after" pill that can make sure she doesnt get pregnant...
can a 17 year old girl get this pill over the counter? or does she need to go to the doctor?

Okay, if your girlfriend is 17 years old, there is a problem, of course she isn't ready to have children she is still in high school. Her high school nurse can give it to her and i think she has three days to get the pill. But if you were ready enough to have sex without protection or have sex at all with a 17 year old then take responsiblity buddy!!!!!!!!!!!11

What are you doing with a girl 20 years younger than you! If she is 17 then that is RAPE! And you can not KNOW if she got pregnants after one night of unprotected sex for at least 2 weeks or more!

Can you say Child preditor?! Don't have sex if you can't handle the responsibility! Plus if you don't want to have children then STOP SLEEPING WITH KIDS!!

Let me see if I have this right: She is 17, you are 36. You've been seeing this girl for 1 month now, and SHE got pregnant (sounds like all on her own!).

Take her to the doctor, Prince Charming.

Have you heard of
a) dating in your own age group (you know, NOT girls young enough to be your daughter)?
b) birth control (you know, condoms, the pill, the patch, etc)?
c) leaving the kids alone?
d) taking responsibility for your actions?

Sorry, NOT impressed.

Ok I wasn't even going to reply to this. However, after reading everyone else's comments I know I'm not on my own about this. YOU ARE A FREAKIN IDIOT!!! Sorry for being so rude but dude come on. First of all technology is great and quite advanced but damn it's not that advanced. I don't care who you are, you don't know the next day after having sex that you are pregnant. Get a grip guy. You need to re-evaluate. Sounds like someone might be trying to scam you!!!!! And you are 36 you should know better!! 17???

you sick perv, its called rape. you dont have sex with minors! god i hope you get locked up you sick man. and if you are asking about birth control at your age you shouldn't have sex. your lack of knowledge probably got you a lot of people pregnant. you sick mo learn the facts of life and talk to your doctor about birth control. might i suggest a psychologist too?

She should go to the doctor/ local planned parenthood clinic. and go to a followup visit. i recommend looking in to "Norplant". Best five years of my life.
