I have a mysterious bruise (?) on my upper, inner thigh. It's bright blue, black, and even reddish. Very strange. Wasn't hit, didn't fall, don't really know how it got there. It's quite painful, almost hot and looks more like a welt than a bruise...there's some swelling, I guess. I tried to find picures of a blood clot in the leg to compare, but no such luck. I don't want to be an alarmist, take a day off work and go see a doctor if I don't have to. Any ideas? Thanks!

Generally, you're not going to see a blood clot. It's just going to be an intense, localized pain.

Is what your legs are going to look like if you have DVT/Blood clots in your legs.

I get bruises all the time that I don't realize I hit myself hard enough to get. Most likely, it's nothing at all. If you're that worried, go to the doctor.
