Who cares what cubans think anyway? I myself admire both men. They believed in something and were revolutionaries and right or wrong you have to admire their determination and will power to accomplish what they believed was right at the time. Despite the CIAs trying to kill him many times Castro has survived and held power for along time.To be young as they were and take a stand against what was wrong is an admirable quality in someone

First off, I can't speak for the Cuban population, nor can any other one person. I can make guesses...like the fact that the communist state they envisioned and promised Cuba didn't come into being in the form they said, and they now have a lot of pressure from outside countries and don't get a lot of basic freedoms most people take for granted (they are required to carry ID everywhere and can be arrested without it, they can't congregate in public places, their homes are subject to violation without jurisprudence at any given time, they have very limited say in how their government works and don't recieve due representation, etc ad naseum.) I'd be pretty miffed about that in their shoes.

I think it depends oh how much weight you give intentions in the criterea. I believe that CHe did many great things and his intention were related to fairness, justice and the pursuit of rhiteousness. Castro on the other hand is responsible for many good and bad deeds. I would judge however his intentions fall for under the categories of opportunism and pursuit for power.
