I've been in and out of several relationships where there's been a strong attraction but no foundation of friendship. None of those relationships lasted more than 3 months because the attraction wore off and there was no friendhip to base the relationship on. Now I'm in the best relationship in the world, with a guy that's been a close friend for over a year. I couldn't be happier.

I definately think that friendship and love go hand in hand. But there are lots of different kinds of love. There's romantic love, love for your friends, parents etc. And the most powerful love of all, the love of a mother for her child. I'm not sure which one you're talking about but you're certainly on the right track!!! Have a good day!

I'm teetering on this theory, because I have loved and been in love with a man that I wouldn't have as a friend. You can connect with someone on several different levels AND still be without a huge part of what a relationship is or should be. I see your point ...I just can't fully jump on your bandwagon.

Yes because when you have a friendship you spend time with that person and you get to know them. You might end up crushing on that person but sometimes you think that person is a really good friend.

i think thats definitely true...because within love you need friendship therefore i believe friendship definitely comes before love..because before you love someone you need to get to know them..and that is by being friendly..friendship is the start of all relationships ...whatever the situation may be..

Someone once said that you should marry someone whom you love to talk to. Someone who's your best friend. Like you said, without friendship, there is no love.

Yeah, at least for close friends. Many times close friends begin to seem like family. So naturally you love them like a brother or sister.
