Try looking up Mariachi costumes/outfits, maybe you'll get something that way as that's actually what they were wearing. If not, try to find three serapes or Mexican style ponchos, three big sombreros then have them wear their own white shirts and pants. Google "Oriental Imports", they may have the latter items at a reasonable cost.

I read where you got a couple of good answers.

Don't go around asking for the "3 amigos" costume. What they are wearing is basically an outfit worn by traditional Mariachi band members. These costumes are derived from a fancy form of Mexican cowboy outfits worn on festive and formal occaision by "Charros."

Try asking around using those terms.

I'll bet you can have good luck at local flea markets.

Definetly not "matador" or bull fighter costume. NOT even close. The bull fighters wear tight, short trousers with long hose, going up, almost to the knee. The hats are much smaller than the large sombreros you seek.

Can you make your own? Just purchase the big sombreros, and then decorate clothing to look like the costumes if you can't sew the costumes in the first place.

Do an eBay search for "matador costume" and you will find a lot too.
