I've read it does help because as the vagina walls contract when a woman has an orgasm, it draws in the semen. Not to mention that ttc can be very stressful, so having an orgasm will help relax the woman as well.

I just read that in a book and what it says is that if you both climax at athe same time, and I mean "at the same time" your orgasm contractions will help push the sperms up, and that is about all your orgasm will do. But if you don't it's ok, because sperms will find the way, that's what they are trained to do.

Climax has nothing to do with conceiving. Hell, with my ex-hubby and father of my 2 daughters, I can count how many orgasms I had with him on one hand (after 11 years together) and I've got two kids to prove you don't need to orgasm to increase your chances of conception.

You know what, I have heard that it does. During our orgasm the cervix opens slightly and more sperm are able to enter.

No, in fact the orgasm releases a substance that kills some of the sperm.
