Hi, I'm 19yrs old. Okay, now I know it can be normal to have a period that's 40 days apart.. HOWEVER, mine wasn't always 40 days apart. It used to be every 28 days and then lately it started getting further and further apart. My diet, exercise, stress levels, environment, etc. haven't changed in the least.

Is it still normal for a period to get further apart like that.. or is it a cause for concern? Thanks.

I have the same concern, but I now think it's normal. For teens normal cycle lasts up to 42 days and gets shorter as you get older. I'm 29 years old, just started to keep track of my period after I had my 1st baby, and my cycle lasts up to 38 to 41 days... You're not alone;)

Your body is still changing at 19. It is probably just your hormone levels changing, or if you are on birth control that can really screw up your cycle. If you are concerned, go see a gynecologist.

Hmm, that's odd. You say you haven't changed your eating, exercise and whatnot. How long has this been happening? You should schedule an appt. with your gynecologist just to make sure that everything is alright. I hope that everything is ok.

Its always good to talk to a doctor about these things but irregular periods are common in teenagers and young adults so it is possible

you might want to see a doctor, you estrogen levels may be skewed a bit, hwoever it is no cause for concern, it happens to many girls, some go for months without having anything. but still, regardless of all of this, get it check out just incase

hope this helps :)

not probable. many times your era is all wacky once you first commence, yet considering which you're sixteen now that is going to likely be customary. i might think of approximately seeing your gyno to confirm what's incorrect.
