decent quality, to last for an hour long meeting but cheap and easy to set up, and not too bulky either if possible.

The ultra-sophisticated way is to use a laptop and set up a netmeeting. You would need a webcam, headset and broadband access. Your best bet is to locate a cybercafe in your destination, second best is to take your own laptop if you can be sure of the broadband connection, although it will work over hotel provisions.

Don't know what the phone costs are likely in Portugal but if the meeting is a one-off, it may be less hassle and cost effective just to phone.
