Yeah its nice and all...but not like a life time experience or anything... good weather, fresh seafood, body treatments - all above the belt ; ) lol... nice places to stay, quiet, not much to do besides water sports... snorkeling and diving are pretty crap over there. And the locals are nice enough but they are mostly strict Muslims, so you cant drink outside the resorts, you have to cover up if you are lady going into town etc... and locals don't really engage you with conversation or stories, and the 'island culture' is lacking... so its really what you are after... if its sun and relaxing doing nothing and sipping cocktails... Maldives, If you want to Dive, meet traditional villagers, enjoy the local company, see beautiful landscape and seascape and volcano's as well as the option of lying back sipping cocktails, try some where like Vanuatu or Samoa...didn't mean to sound too basis or anything ; )

It is indeed a destination of paradise. Y not visit and enjoy and then you will realise its worth.You will definitely have a second thought of visiting again.
