You're looking for a roomate at someone elses place and are also looking for another place to live by yourself (What ever comes available first, that's what you are going to grab.)
But, you are not having any luck finding either one.
It's been a month since you started looking.
Your lease is up on Oct 1st.
Your only other option is to take a studio that costs 800 when you don't want to pay anymore than 500.
Would you just grab the studio instead anyway since your time is running out?
Or would you keep looking for another place?

Holy cows what a bind. I would keep looking but maybe put a deposit down on the studio so it's there as a safety net. If you decide not to take the studio then get your money back. I don't know if you could get away with that or not but I would try anyway.

You should just keep looking! You have set a price that you want to pay, dont pay more than what you can afford. Sit down and figure out how much you can really afford! I live with a roomate and its 1500 a month we both have a dog and we each split rent and other bills! Its hard to live out on your own, dont get yourself into debt that you cant handle! Good Luck!

Keep looking unless there is no lease on the studio. If they allow month to month then do it for a month or so until you can find somewhere else. Otherwise, continue your search.

If I could afford the 800 for a short while I'd opt for that and have a little time to look any further. In meanwhile I would look everywhere to get a better solution.

Keep looking, just take a day off of work and try to find one all day. That is 300 extra dollars that you are going to waste.

i would keep looking, something is sure to appear, there are always rent and placed in the papers and magazines, if look up realters near you online, they rent as well
