King Midas was supposedly able to touch things and turn them into gold. So, when people seemingly have good luck doing things with their hands, they're said to have the Midas touch.

From the old childrens tale of King Midas. Everything he touched turned to gold. In modern times, it is a slogan for a car brake and muffler repair shop.

Oh it's nice, you have to try it. Actually the company wants to let you know or have you believe (however you may see it) that your car can be trusted with them. To "Trust the Midas touch" would be to trust the people working on your care. ensuring you that they and your care is safe, secure, and reliable. Or you could go for the whole greek mythology tale that everyone else is plugging.

In Greek mythology Midas (Μιδας, often referred to as King Midas) is popularly remembered for his ability to turn anything he touched into gold: the "Midas touch".

Hope this helps. :)

i remember that one... an old tale about King Midas, who wished that everything he touched turned to gold but forgot who he wished it from.. but anyway, it was granted and everything he touched turned to gold... at first he enjoyed it but then he forgot about the consequences... he couldnt eat because it would turn to gold, couldnt drink... im not sure if at some point his daughter or something turned to gold also but he started regretting it...
the point is, the Midas touch is when you touch something and it turns to gold...
heard this story in elementary school so forgive me for missing specific details :)
