my husband. And from the looks of things....I may be taking my show on the road one day. *sigh*
Unfortunately, he has a way of magnifying my "negative" qualities.....dragging them into the spotlight and ruining the whole "show stopping" number. He also has a way of taking my "positive" qualities, twisting them around during the final act and construing them into something they aren't....something far more horrible than what they really are. This causes the show to end on a sour note.... and the audience questioning whether or not there should be a standing ovation. And of course, being the confusing critic that he is.... when all is said and done and the house lights have been dimmed.... he kisses me on the forehead, hands me a long stemmed rose and says "Tonight you seemed a little "off"...maybe tomorrow night's performance will be better".

That's sad that the guys are saying their spouses are their biggest critics. They should be your biggest fans!
Everyone knows that you are your biggest critic. The reviews vary from minute to minute sometimes. The overall outlook probably isn't too bad if you're not suffering from very low self-esteem or depression.

Oh, myself of course! The reviews are terrible, career-destroying. Let me put it to you this way - it doesn't matter how many re-writes are done, or how much money is poured into the ad campaign - with vitriolic reviews like this, I'm going straight to cable!

It was my wife. Very seldom got favourable reviews. Very seldom she was wrong (almost never, to be honest)
