it works with stray cats, but these stupid kids are always crossing through my property on the way to and from school

so if i just put a basket outside that said "free gatorade" and put anti-freeze in the bottles, would this be illegal?

Yes that would be very illegal... sorry. I would suggest simply speaking to both the authorities and the parents of said teenagers... and building a fence.
