I have a fancy dress party on saturday and i want to wear something really good which if possible isn't going to cost me. My ideas so far are,
Santa Claus
Gangster
Classic Robber.
Which if any is the best thing to wear? Any other ideas? Please reply asap!

A toga, All you need is a sheet, a bit of rope for a belt, some sandles and maybe a loreth for your head (cut it off a tree). As people get more pissed the lasses always try to see if you've got boxers on underneath (good for flirting), and if you get a plastic dagger you get to stab people too!!

Gangster is good. Classic twenties style though. James bond with the tux goes down well too! At least you have a good chatup line 'My names Bond etc
Another one is Mr Darcy, wearing the old riding boots and breeches with poets shirt. Or Casanova? James Dean is another cool one, black jeans, white t shirt, black leather jacket and slicked back hair! Go for the one that suits you best!!

I hope this is a costume party!!! If not, just a nice suit & tie.
If it is, a gangster would be good. You could still go with a nice suite & tie, make some spats for your shoes, wear a hat that you could get at a thrift store, and have a play gun.

Wear your birthday suit with a toy water pistol strapped on to cover your blushes. Go as The Naked Gun. Cheap and fun. If you are brave enough you can fill up the water pistol and spray the girls.

I think you should go as a Borg from star trek. Just get a funnel . some cheap plastic tubing, spray it silver, cover your face in silver make up and stick one of those phone thingies in your ear.

Any fancy dress will reveal your legs, while showing your chest.
I would go with a strap, as I don't think you could go with a strapless.
