By making a permanent positive, commited life-style change.
Everybody is constantly searching for the magic weight loss pill without being prepared to sacrifice anything. What do you prioritise most in your life? How important is losing weight to you? Do you REALLY want to change? these are important questions that need to be thought about carefully.
Fad diets and Dramatic changes dont work. Those looking skinny on the front of magazines with their new diet this month, will be riddiculed the next when they put it back on again.
Make slow sensible changes so you wont be craving, for instance to start off with just cut back on coffee maybe or that extra candy bar. Over time cut back on more, take up more exercise and keep changing it to keep motivation going. Focus on where you want to get to but it is important to realise that it is a continual process not a fad. A healthy lifestyle change you can maintain.
Some say "they haven't got time" to exercise. This is an excuse and they know it deep inside. Everyone has time to exercise. Again, what do you want to prioritise in your life. I expect many of those who don't have time, find time to watch TV.
The unavoidable bottom line: To lose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. The end. To burn calories you have to exercise.

There is no such thing as permanent weight loss. It is a life style that you want to focus on. Forget the diets, the pills, the patches, all that stuff. It is a very simple formula; you have to burn off more than you take in. You simply have to do some kind of exercise on a regular basis. Walk, bike, do push ups and crunches, hike, play tennis, something. Develop an active lifestyle and you will lose weight.
Good luck.

dont avoid anything. just take it with moderation. learn that a serving size is the size of your palm. if you just take everything with moderation you will lose weight slowly but you will keep it off. and exercise. doesn't have to be much take the stairs instead of the elevator. park further away from the store so you can walk further. small steps is key. it takes time, but it will work better than a magic pill or extreme diet. go by the food pyramid. don't completely take out a food group like the atkins. you need carbs more than protein but the secret is to get off your lazy butt and do something walk your dog-something. i got to the point of laziness where i didn't even want to play with my neices and nephews and that woke me up. quit watchin 16 hours of t.v. every day. oh yeah and dont worry about a few extra pounds. it's alright.

Death is the only guaranteed, permanent weight loss program. But after the first 3 or 4 days, because of the bloating of gases within the body, you'll actually gain weight at first, but, as you gradually decompose, the weight loss will improve.

Reduce your food intake (cut your portions in half or when dinning out, split one meal between two people) and increase your exercise (at least 30 minutes of brisk walking three times a week). You should always consult a doctor before starting an exercise program to ensure that you are not going to run into heart problems etc.

What do you mean?? There is so much healthy food out there! What's wrong with grilling veggie kabobs or eating some hummus and pita, or a nice fresh salad?
The trick is to allow yourself to eat limited forbidden food. Instead of eating a whole Hershey bar in one day, split it apart and eat it throughout 3 days. You get your chocolate fix, but not all the calories at once.

Losing weight is a lifestyle change. You need to eat foods that are healthy for you and exercise. Whole foods such as whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables are the best for you. Make sure the diet you are following is not making you cut out any carbs. Carbs help provide the body with energy. There are definitely good carbs and bad carbs. Make sure you are eating the good ones.

Unfortunately, not even permanent markers are permanent. If you don't keep reapplying the marker it will eventually fade. Maintaining weight takes constant effort. But anything worth acheiving is worh working for!!

pick up a 5 or 10 pound weight at the gym and visualize that weight coming off holding the weight in your hands helps bring home just how heavy even 5 pounds of extra fat can be
