I think the beats are addicting BUT most of the time her lyrics just don't make sense! Don't you agree?

I absolutely hate her as a female 'pop' artist, she may sound great in her native country (wherever that may be) but i personally cannot believe that sum1 within the industry thought she had talent - let alone give her a recording contract. slit her throat sum1 pleeeeeeease, put her (n us) outta her misery.

She's a great entertainer. I kind of put her on the same level as Madonna, catchy tunes, but the main attraction are her performances. If you watch her dvd performance from around 1999, stylists and handlers have done wonders with her image. She probably writes her songs in spanish, so maybe they don't make as much sense when translated. She's really cool though and you never hear bad things about her or hear about her being involved in controversy.

Not a big fan of her singing. I think her songs are alright. They have essentially the same beats. I heard her old stuff was better, more from the heart. But now she's gone and changed it to reggaeton and sings about the usual guy, girl, shaking butts, dancing crap.. I think reggaeton is the same no matter what song it is. It's crap. But other than that....I think people like her more because she can shake her nicely toned bum bum.

I do agree. For me, one of her best songs is La Tortura feat, Alejandro Sanz. I sing along to it but when she sings quickly I mumble like a foolllll lol

Her current "Hips Don't Lie" song (featuring Wyclef Jean) rocks (as well as many of her previous songs including "La Tortura", "Objection" and "Whenever,wherever" ). She is very talented and a good dancer.

i am lebanese, and i know her dad is too..... so ofcourse i am...... shakira is the bessssssst....... and yeah ur right, but she once said that she never spoke english in her life, and she learned english in just months, i mean atleast shes better than those who have been learning english for yrs and yrs...... she will surely getr better with her english accent........ muaah to shakira...... thumbs up 4ever!!
