Consult Consumer Reports or PC Magazine's Reader Survey. No other sampling here is going to give you sufficently accurate information.
And keep in mind, EVERYONE has systems that fail and have problems - the "best" companies make equipment that has these problems LEAST OFTEN

I've had my iMac OSX 20" for about a year and it has NEVER failed, crashed or done anything most PCs do. So, in my oppinoin, PCs suck. Give me an Apple any day!
