You should let them know that you understand by joining the conversation. You could quit if they are being disrespectful to you and its not working out.

First and foremost you must understand this isn't even about you. It is all about the two of them. They obviously do not feel very good about themselves or they would not waste their time putting others down. As a manager if your doing something wrong it is their duty to show you the correct way. I think your manager needs some managerial training. And they both need to build a self-esteem. Perhaps you should consider looking for other employment. That is just shameful, on their part. People are people and not all people are very nice. I would just try very hard ot ignore the situation if you continue to work there. Keep in mind you are obviously the better person your not talking about people in a negative manner. Some people are just so ignorant their is no hope for them. Continue on the strive to do better for yourself, i bet in a few years you will come back and they will still be in the same position. People like that rarely prosper. Pray for them, God will work it out for you.

Are you a young person? How old is the manager compared to you. If this is a retail store, which for some reason I feel it is, then you should be able to speak to a district manager, or a higher store manager about this problem.
Sometimes we feel that we don't want to do this because it may cause more friction between yourself and the manager/coworker(s), but it sounds like the situation is bad already and needs to be resolved.
Oh: I'm assuming you have already spoken to the manager/coworker about your feelings. If you haven't, then do this first. Follow my first suggestion if this doesn't work.

Your employer doesn't deserve you. Update your resume and look for another job where your hard work will be appreciated and you will not be ridiculed. If there's a human resouces department where you work, go to the human resources manager and make a formal compaint that you are being "verbally abused" and your character is being "verbally attacked". Document every incident so that you have a full paper trail if you need it.

Write down everything they say and then take it to a lawyer and crush them in court. They'll learn quickly enough you know what's going on.
