Will Smith and Jada do it.
Ashton Kutcher said he is the "purse" and he dresses to accessorize Demi.
If we are going out, I always buy my husband a tie to match my dress. I like looking like a couple!

We don't wear the SAME outfits.
We wear similar colors.
I did used to dress my 4 kids the same when they were little. Just put a pink top on the girl. Going through my Sound of Music/Von Trapp family phase.
It's over now... ; )

Michelle - crazy online stalker chick - I am only 44 years old and look pretty good for my age! Why don't you go ahead and have that unsightly tattoo removed? Or does it scream "tramp" and that's why you feel the need to keep it? Jusk asking...

At first when I read your question, I was thinking matching outfits and I thought oh he!! no!!... but I think you mean more like coordinating the colors. I think that is a great idea and it makes the couple look stylish. Now, when you start doing matching t-shirts... that's when I would have to revert back to my original answer!

When we go to an event and they're selling t-shirts, it's possible we'll get the same t-shirt. We certainly don't "accessorize" each other. Sometimes it happens by accident, like we're both wearing blue and white, or whatever. What do I think of couples that try to match each other? I think they're trying too hard. Nothing wrong with your hubby wearing a tie to match your dress, though. You just have a fashion sense.

Its weird to see peoplel like that.
This one girl dresses like her bf and its werid they have the same hair and style and everything!!
Me and my bf are total opposites.
He has a fro that is redish brown (he is mixed)
im blonde (and show it)
we are both short cant help that though
He dresses in black and i dress 'normal'
He listens to metal and i to everything.
Not the same in some areas but still agree to disagree!!
almost 1 yr and 7 months too.
edit.
miss read!!
Match colors yes but not the whole outfit like the couple i described that is just too much

I think its obnoxious. And nothing says "whipped" more than a guy matching his wife's outfit.
Does a man in a red tie, with a date in a pink dress really offend you or something?

Pathetic. You don't have to make your husband wear a tie to match your dress so that you look like a couple. Either your relationship is in need of help.or you are. Sorry, but you sound like a real poser, using your husband as your accessory, not his tie. When you're not co-ordinating his & her's wardrobes, do you ever think about living in the real world? So weird.

Coordinating colors for formal events is fine but for everyday it is better to dress without artifice. Matching outfits are never OK.

I think it's awesome. Why not look your best when you go out as a couple? There's also a difference in dressing to complement each other and dressing the same!

My husband and I would wearing matching outfits on special occasions when we lived in Africa, because it's a cultural thing to do over there. but in general, I don't like to match. I think color coordination or like you said, a tie to match your dress looks nice on special occasions, etc, but if you're just going to Wal-Mart, I think wearing matching khakis and polo's looks silly.

This was very BIG in the fifties (yes I remember the fifties). Couples wore matching shirts all the time.
