Saving a file from internet into your computer is called downloding.

download is when you copy something from another computer to yours. You "download" MP3 files and they are now on your computer.
Upload PUTS things on a remote computer - You can Upload your pictures to MySpace so anyone can see them.

download is what you take from people or from some site and you save it in your computer .

Down loadning and Uploading happen in P2P (Peer to Peer) sites. Down loading is what you take from others through internet. Upoading is someone taking data or music from your computer.

ok the diff between up loading and down loading is
up loading- if from ur computer to the web- taking things off the computer or coping them off on ur the web cd i pod any thing like that
down loading- is from the web to ur computer-puting things on ur computer from things like the web cd e mails any thing like that
