It won't seriously harm your skin, but may leave your face bright red for a few hours.

Aloe Vera is great for your skin! I use it everyday on my face and hair. All you have to do is apply a small amount directly to dry skin and it dose not harm you at all, it actually feels wonderfully cool when you apply it. Aloe will really help to moisturize and tighten the skin. As Aloe harvested directly from the plant can be a little goopy and sticky, I would recommend a store bought one. There's losts of Aloe gels you can buy at your local drug store, I use one that also has vitimin E added (also great for your skin) and comes in an easy-to-use pump like the one found here:

Hope that helps!!! :)

You say that you use the gel, so I assuming you also use the Shampoo and conditioner too! How long do you let the gel set in before you put clothing on your skin and use your hands? How long do you allow the conditioner to set in your hair before you rinse it? You need to allow the condition to set in your hair for at least two min. and you need to apply the gel on your skin very thourghly and make sure it is completely absorbed into the skin. As for it being harmful to your if you apply directly I'm not sure and would not take the risk!!!

I have used Aloe Vera plant juice right from the plant on my face. I would say the purer the better. My grandmother kept a plant in her kitchen and when I got a stove burn or a sunburn I put that right on there, never did me any harm. Not sure just ask a dermatologist.

I don't think that it will be harmful, but why not get a moisturizer that's specific for your skin type.
I use all Mary Kay face products and love them. If you're looking for something cheaper, you can just go to your local Target, etc. Make sure that none of the ingredients are Alcohol because that dehydrates your skin.

My mom used to have an aloe vera plant in our kitchen, she would break the leaves off whenever we needed that soothing feel on our skin (rashes, burns, etc.). It only helps, it doesn't irritate. They also sell aloe vera in bottles in stores, but straight from the plant is better....you can probably buy them at plant nurseries if you look. =)

I would use a lotion with aloe vera in it, not just plain aloe vera gel. That is used mostly for sunburn (the gel itself)

Aloe gell cannot harm your skin, it can only help, unless of course you are allergic.
