The Beatles or Elvis? I bet I hear 20-30 songs a day by The Beatles and Elvis at work and after eating lunch at work with me the other day, my boyfriend asked me this question. I would have to say Elvis. It is so much better to dance to and so much less annoying than the Beatles. If I hear "Yellow Submarine" or "Rita Meter Maid" one more time I am going to have to quit. Dumb question? Yep! But just wondering what everyone else thinks.

Wake up! The world and the music go on! There are new singers, group, NEW music!!! Something horrible must have happened to you years ago! But now you are still alive. Go and listen to Shakira, Rihanna, 50 Cent, Eminem, Madonna, Cristina Aguilera... Wake up and leave aside your MONO records!!!!

Beatles

I am a huge Beatles fan, but I hate Yellow Sub. I like Rita, but I can see where it would get old after a while. I think, in general, the Beatles had more material than Elvis. Elvis played a lot of cover songs, and the Beatles were song writing machines! Listen to the Beatles albums, Revolver (by far their best), Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, the White Album, and Abby Road. They were excellent albums. Top notch song writing.

no dice. The Beatles. Elvis stuff is all the SAME. Beatles are not only #1 but they are very diverse especially as they experimented with drugs over the decades. The Beatles are also brilliant - if it wasn't for them there would be no modern day heavy metal or creative mixing and editing. IF it weren't for the Beatles ~ World War 3 would already be here. If it wasn't for the love and passion of John Lennon ~ many more people would be dead right now than actually are

Given the choice, the Beatles would edge out Elvis, but not by much. I'd have to be able to choose which songs, though, because some of them are annoying. The Beatles just had more variety of style, everything from "Let It Be" to "Helter Skelter."

If that was the choice, I'd have to say The Beatles. I love Elvis but I think the Fab Four have more variety. I mean from "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" to "Helter Skelter" is a pretty wide range of musical experience.

I like them both, maybe The Beatles a little more, but if I were stranded on an island I'd probably not want to annoy myself with one kind of music and just listen to the waves in the water instead.

The Beatles. Elvis has predominantly one style, but the Beatles changed their style to fit the song - listen to "Helter Skelter" and tell me THAT is mellow!
