I am a Vice President in a club and my friend is a president. She planned all activities for the year, without asking me for help and without sharing any ideas. I think I helped out a lot with the club last year. She kind of incorporated one of my idea into her stuff. Should I remain , or should I just diminish myself to a member status, since I am of no help anyway. What is a polite way to resign, without sounding upset or angry.

Don't resign, and don't be angry. Put in on your CV to help with later applications to graduate school or jobs.
Sounds sad that you missed the opportunity to participate more, but it could be worse... you could be doing all the work while she took a free ride as "President."
Can you be president next year?
Aloha

Talk to your friend and be honest about your feelings. I suggest you do not resign even if nothing changes. Do the best you can and stick with the club. It will look good on your college application. And it is good experience for jobs you make have to take in the future that don't turn out to be what you expected. Employers don't always appreciate their employees. Just consider this a taste of the real world.
Having said that, if you become really unhappy with the club, go ahead and resign. No need to be miserable in your senior year.

If you are the Vice President then next time the election is held run for President. She won't be around to bother you and you will be able to lead the club the way you want. Whatever you do don't quit or resign!

I think you should be upset and angry with this glory grabber. I would speak up and make sure the rest of the club know what she has done to you. People steal ideas all the time, you don't want this to become a pattern for you. I wish you the best.

Keep the title and relax....if she doesn't need help, let her do her thing - come up with fresh ideas, or spend more of your time at the mall.....resigning is way too dramatic from something like a club.....the whole idea is to have fun.

Unless it's getting in the way of your schoolwork, hang in there. It might be annoying, but being VP will look good on your college apps, and if she doesn't want to use you, that's all the more time you have for other things.

Talk to her before you do anything. She may not even realize what she is doing. If she's got a cocky attitude, roll out.
