Why is this happening? We've had a great sex life for almost 20 years. We're both very healthy and still attractive. Do you think he's infatuated with someone else? We've been apart for a few months because of a job transfer and now that we're together again, this happens. Please, mature answers only.

This happens to men all the time, and no he is probably not seeing someone else and no you haven't all of a sudden gotten unattractive to him. Have him see a doctor - preferably a specialist. There is nothing to be embarassed about. There are a number of probable causes (fatigue, stress, too much alcohol, certain types of medications etc.) but the most likely is that your man is going through what is called "andropause" which means his male hormone levels are lower than they used to be due to aging etc. and his libido just isn't as strong - its like menopause in women but a slower more gradual process. Andropause can start as early as 35 or as late as 65. By age 50 way over 50% of men have some degree of erectile problems. Have your husband do some reading...there are a million sites on the web. Do not despair, there is help out there. Be sure to use medical help and not start some stupid plan like "Enzyte" or some such quackery - Good Luck

If you have been apart for a few months it is very likely he has been masturbating a lot. This has a way of reducing his ability to get a good erection during sex. Keep having sex it should get better.

Its called age try Viagra it really works and is he a smoker or have high choleserol or blood pressure or a bad back all these things including stress can be part of it there are also mens vitamins that can help get him to start working out and taking St. Josephs low dose asperin and other vitamins to get the blood flowing it is not you and it is not his fault it happens.

it is quite common. What happens is no one sfault. It is simply his body doing it to him. There is a small flap that acts like a "door" Sometimes this "door" doesn't stay shut, and it opens, thus releasing all the blood from the erection causing him to loose it. It could be stress from the new job.

sometimes men just cant perform......usually because of unrelated preasures like this job transfer, moving to new location or other stresses. the bigger deal you make of it the worse it can get........try making a real romantic evening with no hints of sex later...........things like that have a habit of taking care of themselves. on the other hand, if things dont improve, it could be a medical condition........worth looking into only after seduction doesnt work.......infatuation with someone else,,,,,i seriously doubt that how was that for mature answer??

It does happen, and sometimes for no reason at all.
But better suggest for him to see a doctor, many reasons behind that is not known..that is why we say for no reasons at all.
Trauma,, tension, sickness, disease, a sudden change of situation, problem with work and at home..
The doctor can give you he best advise.

I don't think being infatuated with someone else would have an impact. Men are pigs, being in love with one person doesn't prevent them from wanting to screw someone else, remember?

Could be stress, could be lots of things. Seek help, be supportive, show him that he can please you regardless, since that takes some pressure off.

It's possible the changes in your lives have affected him, either mentally or physically. Just give it time. Unless you have any evidence of him being interested in someone else, dismiss this from your thoughts. It will only make things worse. Talk to each other honestly.

If he's over45 E.D is a possibility, Maybe he is just'going' too soon? I doubt infatuation would cause that ,if anything the contrary.
