Open Office allows you to save it as a Word Document (.doc). Have typed many a document for work using Open Office, and had to send them to work, in those cases, just saved them in Microsoft format.

on any explorer windows go to tools/folder option/view then uncheck the hide extensions for known file type then hit OK and go to your file change its name to *.sxw to *.doc but be carefull this might damage the file so create a copy of it before doing all this.
