How depressing to contemplate this question.
One would think, with 250 million to chose from, we could find ONE good candidate. The problem lies in the fact that people who think and speak the truth are seen as some sort of threat, or as politically incorrect. The unwillingness of the American public at large to truly confront issues is at fault, in my opinion. This two party system that has evolved is also very detrimental to democracy as a whole. Let's keep an eye on the Texas Governor's race to see if that can be overcome......
Of the pack currently considered, I would throw my hat in for McCain or Obama. Hillary would be a good president, but her chances of winning that office are slim to none. Some radical neocon would assassinate her before he/she let that happen. Too bad for this country.

I really think the next president will be Barak Obama of Illinois. The DNC is grooming him to run... and all the Hillary stuff is just smoke and mirrors to keep the spotlight away from Obama
